Fright Nights at Anderson Manor is an electrifying annual event hosted by the Iota Phi Foundation, now in its fifth year. Set in the historic Anderson Manor in Pittsburgh’s Manchester neighborhood, this haunted attraction delivers a spine-chilling experience filled with eerie decorations, live actors, and immersive special effects. Each year, the manor is completely transformed with new themes and terrifying twists, ensuring a fresh and unforgettable scare for attendees of all ages.

Beyond the thrills, Fright Nights serves a greater purpose—100% of the proceeds directly support the Sylvester Pace HBCU Tour and the Iota Phi Mentoring Program. These initiatives provide educational opportunities, mentorship, and cultural enrichment to Black youth in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, helping to shape the next generation of leaders. The event raises nearly $20,000 annually, making a significant impact on these programs.

A unique aspect of Fright Nights is the involvement of our community. The haunted house is brought to life by members of the Iota Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., along with current HBCU Tour students and HBCU Tour alumni, who take on the roles of actors, designers, and operators of the four-level mansion. This hands-on experience provides students with valuable insights into event production, business operations, and entrepreneurism. Parents of HBCU Tour students contribute by running the concessions stand and operating the outdoor movie theater in our courtyard, ensuring that every guest enjoys a full night of fright and fun.
