HBCU Tour and College Mentoring Program
Pittsburgh Omega Mentoring Program
The Pittsburgh Omega Mentoring Program, coordinated by the Iota Phi Foundation in partnership with the Iota Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is a transformative initiative that is open to our current HBCU Tour students and alumni. This program is designed to provide our students with the guidance and support they need to become leaders in their communities and excel academically.
Key components of the program include:
- Mentorship: Each student is assigned to a mentoring group with a college-educated mentor who meets regularly with them to offer guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate both academic and personal challenges.
- Experiential Learning: Students participate in hands-on learning activities and workshops led by local corporate and community leaders. These sessions are designed to inspire students to set ambitious goals and equip them with the skills needed to achieve them.
- Educational Workshops: The program includes dynamic educational workshops that foster academic excellence and enhance career exploration.
- Community Engagement: Students engage in community service and leadership roles, fostering a sense of community and social responsibility.
The program’s ultimate goal is to ensure that students are fully engaged and benefit maximally from the opportunities provided by the Iota Phi Foundation, while also preparing them for future academic and professional endeavors.
