Our Mission

The corporation is organized and operated by professional, educated African-American males who volunteer to improve the quality of life of people in the greater Pittsburgh community.

Our Vision

To be recognized as a leader throughout Western PA, and to uplift our community, especially our youth, by providing sustainable programs and services that positively impact their daily lives.

Our Impact

What have we done?

The Iota Phi Chapter and Iota Phi Foundation offer programs including mentorship for African-American male youth, a talent hunt for young men and women, and financial literacy for parents, along with other impactful initiatives.

$400,000+

in scholarships have been given to 250 kids since 1984.

19,500+

kids have benefitted from our Christmas Program.

16,050

families have received holiday turkeys, hams, and food baskets as part of our food insecurity program.

20,000+

healthy meals were cooked and delivered to local families across the Greater Pittsburgh Area during the pandemic by our members. 

2,550

high school students have attended the Sylvester Pace HBCU Tour.

Our MISSION over the past 25 years has prioritized service for underrepresented minorities in the greater Pittsburgh community through scholarship assistance for college bound students, providing mentoring and education programing for youth and families throughout the year, and helping families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Our partners in these endeavors have included NEED, UPMC, GIANT EAGLE, KBK, Highmark and many others
